IInet and Fetch TV

IInet and Fetch TV
It's coming, looks like IInet are about to release Australias 4th Cable TV company and the first Internet based product.
Does anyone here have experience with the UK version.... what can we expect and can it replace foxtel.... with channels like lifestyle, History, Crime and Nat Geo etc or doesn't Fetch do those ?
Only hole in the product I can see is Sports, and in particular for me the Aleague, but there has to be a work around.
So can I finally give up Foxtel... anyone know how this is like to pan out ? Could save me 70 bucks a month.

Re: IInet and Fetch TV
Hum, I don't think they will necessarily have the same range as Foxtel. Many of those were hard won and fought channel and program rights.
Personally I am at the moment using an Apple TV box and loving it. Being able to dispense with the DVD rental shop and rent movies for a few days which download to it and I can watch instantly is awesome. My wife is happy able to buy box sets of TV shows by the season for less than the JB Hifi price most of the time. Has all my iphoto photo's and my music from itunes which it can stream simultaneously to various speakers throughout my house.
I guess its proof that some people don't mind paying for content as long as it's well delivered.
I'm glad technology is starting to move the data way and will be very interested to see Fetch TV's offerings. If nothing else it may break the Foxtel/Telstra hold.

I have Apple TV and love it, and along with Foxtel IQ meets my viewing needs. Its good to just watch the shows you like when you like in such an easy way. If only you could avoid the adverts.
