Do you actually read any of my responses or just decide that since I said them, they must be like some Technicolour promotional film for Australia? Or are you just, you know, simple?

I'd just like to summarise for those just reading this post.
OP "quote" I've been in Australia (well, ok, only Brisbane) for 4 months now - whine whinge whinge whinge............................whinge whinge whinge - that's it, I'm going back to England (well, ok, Cheshire)
Some peope disagreed, some agreed - OP is still going back to England (well, ok, Cheshire)
I think that about sums it up
Oh - and for Tiddly's benefit.. LOL

Well, funnily enough, I spend my everyday life trying to earn enough money to keep a roof over our heads. What do you do to make people feel truly happy in their everyday lives?

I know that it was probably unintentional but you did start this off as a one-sided, fairly subjective and not particularly considered statement on a public forum. Which you are perfectly entitled to do. I think it was the absolutes within your writing style that got peoples backs up.

Good. In the mean time, could you - or indeed any of the 'I miss Tescos' brigade, please tell me how many varieties of granary loaf it takes to make you happy?

Our local supermarket and local bakers (in Northside Brisbane no less) both carry a good range of raisin toast - does that count?

It helps mate - we're getting there. Are people's lives (in your area, obviously) improved by this access to a wide variety of raisin toast loafs?

All I know is that the OP said "- Considerably less choice in quality foods over here.".
I can't think about cheese or bread unless you point exactly to the place where she typed that she didn't have enough types of cheese or bread. - then I can sit down for half an hour to think up a response.

Personally I only really like the thick cut cafe style, but one feels one should at least have the choice of more in one's own area
