Chris Martin.

I'm sure he's dead because his music certainly sounds like he is.

A supergroup indeed

Steve Marriott nearly became the lead singer of Led Zeppelin....he had one of the best voices ever......I saw the Small Faces play in a local pub when I was a teenager.....just before they made it big.

The sounds of my youth

Indeed, and also it was Keith Moon & John Entwhistle's idea to form a band Called Led Zep with page and plant in a drunken conversation one day when things werent rosy in the weo camp. Amazing how history is changed!!

You saw the Small Faces you lucky bugger, i am only in my 30's but am obsessed with the 60's and you have now made me a very jealous man!!

John Entwhistle, Keith moon and, I think, Jimmy page and Robert Plant actually made a recording (JP was in the yardbirds at the time).

JE suggested that, as a Supergroup they would go down like a LEAD Zeppelin.

When Led Zeppelin were formed (from the New Yardbirds) they adopted the name but dropped the 'E' out of 'lead' in order not to confuse the stupid Americans

Happy days.
