Hope you get the crutch sorted soon!! :( :(

On the plus side, I was wondering when you fly out, if it would be worth your while limping into the airport - with crutches, (whether you need them or not by this point) and asking for a seat with more leg room. The worst that could happen is they say no. The best is an upgrade!!

LOL
It would be worth a try...

as it is though i'll probably still be using a walking stick, physio says to tell airline in advance anyway as i may have a problem with not having a full bend & swelling etc. None of my kids want to sit next to me as they know theyl have a leg on their lap for the duration... lol

Even better - they upgrade you to Business Class and you have a tranquil journey being waited upon, whilst the OH looks after the kids in economy!!! PMSL!:rofl:

Thought you'd said you'd worn your crotch out :lol: it's quite cool having a damaged leg on a flight (well, not really but) you get the private lift on to the flight and off again, looked after. Not recommended though :D

Re: I Walked!!!

UPDATE!!

Saw the consultant today. Good News
The bonegraft has taken and is working, the plateau is even and the cartlidge (despite being damaged) is doing its job.
I'm allowed to progress to full weight bearing now. He was happy with my range of movement, im not but hes the boss! 2' - 85'. Hopefully i'll be able to start on the exercise bike later this week - i cant pedal all the way round but even half revolutions will help.
Also got to see the ct scan pics and all the xrays, cant believe how bad it looked. I'll post a pic of my latest xray later!

Still looking at surgery after xmas but its all looking good!

Re: I REALLY WALKED!!!

You know how excited i got about walking in the hydro pool??

Well i actually managed to WALK (did a semi shuffle) across my kitchen.
Then i did proper baby steps...Only did about 4 steps, forwards then back again, then did it again when KOH came home.
I could have cried i was so chuffed - my leg is beginning to feel like its mine again!

I was doing karate kid stance in the hydro pool yesterday - the crane, on the broken leg..did the old wax on wax off bit with the hands!

Fingers crossed i'll be 'walking' for Xmas.
I graduate onto walking sticks next week - ditch the crutches.
