I was one of the 1074 caught by the new camera
 

I reached 11 points in my first 12 months here, then went 5 years without a fine driving to Brissy for 4 of those years....now my record has been broken:

I was doing 110 in 100 zone (equivalent of 6.2mph over) at 05:45 in the morning!

........aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggg hhhhhhhhhhhh.

As an ex-copper and also personally I HATE speed cameras. They are a cowardly way of dealing with speeding. There is nothing to suggest that they reduce accidents. They do collect revenue though.

That said, if you don't see the camera, maybe you aren't paying enough attention? If the speed limit is posted, then we have to obey it.

Road rules are usually aimed at the lowest driver ability unfortunately. :thumbdown:
