I Love The Internet Because.......
 

I've been wondering all week what the lovely music on the new Audi A5 advert is so I googled it tonight and found it. Whilst doing that, I also managed to find out what a piece of music is that was on a favourite PC game I had years ago (a Chopin piece).

It made me say to OH - isn't the internet great. I'm a huge fan of imdb for those moments when you're watching something and you think you've seen and actor or actress before too.

I just love being able to get the answers to my questions there and then.

Besides BE of course, what is it about the internet that you love?

I can e mail people and talk to them on msn and use skype to talk to my OH in Sydney:thumbsup:

for a deaf person who cant phone this is fab makes me less isolated and makes me a lot happier

I like the internet because I can go sit by the computer and pretend I'm doing something important when really I'm on chilling on this site taking some time out!!!:rofl::rofl:

Mostly though for music and keeping in contact with people. Great for the kids to maintain relationships with old friends.

I love imdb too, also wikipedia, which I can happily sit with for hours.
My favourite aspect of the internet is its instantaneousness (is that a word?! instanity?!) because I am extremely impatient. I want to know NOW!
And my favourite use of the internet is keeping in touch with all my old friends, and with family, who are all a long, long way away. But with hotmail and facebook I can keep in touch with what they are up to and not feel so left out of it all - hopefully I won't need it so much once I have new friends here, but at the moment I think I would feel very lonely without it! :(
