Hurrah! It's shit but who cares!
Mr TE and I have both landed full time work in Mackay - less than 7 days after arriving and after a year of abject frustration in Cairns. The jobs (hospitality with some odd job hotel maintenance chucked in) are bottom rung and we'll be using our RSAs rather than our MBAs but who cares! It's 28 bucks an hour and we can fulfil our Immi obligations to go on to PR so we have the ability to return after the sailing trip around the Pacific. Such a relief!!!
