I will have nightmares now..............about the cockroaches LOL!! I hate them the most.

I have been in Australia for 30 years living between Sydney and Wollongong and I have never seen a Sydney Funnel Web and to think my (ex) husband used to check the kids beds and shoes when we first came here in case one was lurking.

We did have one in our pool once, but I never actually saw it as ex disposed of it swiftly.

I've never seen an adult one. Had a close encounter with a junior one on my front verandah a few weeks back during all that rain. He was obviously out looking for a missus and got a bit lost. Instead of true love he found everlasting squishiness in the shape of my boot!

I'm fairly desensitised to most spiders now - but I'd crap mesen if I met a cranky one with fangs that big!

There's a fairly small one (about 4cm across) on the wall above my 'puter as I type this. Hope it's gobbling my roaches and baby geckos.
