Huntsman needed

Now there's a fair bit of spider boasting on this site along the line of 'mine is bigger than yours etc...'
Came home the other day chilled after a nice night out and spent a good few mins on a search and destroy mission to get rid of some king sized coachroaches (one was hiding under the matress bleargh! ) Now these things REALLY give me the willies....and I've heard that hunstman spiders eat them. So how do you get huntman spiders? I am after one that will live in the corner and eat cockroaches but NOT jump on me. Can you get 'em from the pet shop pre-trained?
Based in Brizzy - anyone got a suitable one going begging?

You can buy Morton or Baygone bug killer bombs in local shops for local people 3 for 12 or 14$ depending on make. Problem is they kill the huntsman as well as the cockies, one can does about 13ft sq room and supposed to last 3 mths.

You can also get those little men who do whole house and it's supposed to last a year.

Don't think you will ever totally get rid of them without making house just as toxic for yourself.

I suggested bug spraying the whole house leavign things to calm down then ordering in a Hunstman normally a friend has one they don't want.

While i'm here do you get cockeroaches in Melbourne area?????

I'm not keen on either spiders or toddler poo shaped bugs

Think i might have to go see a hypnotherapist before we move out there cause i've been waking up at night convinced there are red backs or huntsman in bed, this has been going on for weeks and we've not even got our visa yet :(

I have huntsmen here... For a small fee I can box one up and bring it to your door personally..
I will need a plane ticket and overnight stay in a very good hotel, and an entertainment tab for the night. A credit card in my name will do.

Fit's in a box? Sounds like a wuss of a huntsman to me.Not large enough to eat these horrid roaches. BTW hubby crushed one by slamming the bed against the wall (hope the neighbours didn't think we were up to anything else  ) and I got the other one by squeezing it in a door hinge. All the time, the kids saying 'you don't HAVE to kill them'

It may just be a little baby one. Has anyone ever seen one eating a cockroach??? It may be all a lie.

Don't worry, you get used to it, I jump out of bed and turn the light on convinced there are spiders in the bed (don't wake up entirely until the light is on). I've done it for years, having grown up in a house that seems to produce mutant HUGE spiders in Richmond, Surrey (they would look more at home in the Amazon:blink: ). My OH didn't believe me until he saw one himself, it was so HUGE and HEAVY it had got trapped in the sink and every time it tried to climb out it fell back in.

OH also has a redback tattooed onto his shoulder (done before I met him) which really freaks me out now and again when I wake up looking at it!

I'm not worrying about the ones in Oz, I hate them wherever I go, poisonous or not poisonous. At least with the poisonous ones I'll have a genuine reason for acting like a lunatic whenever they come near me:rofl:
