I dont believe its natural personally, she looks severely physically disabled, she cant even walk normally.

It would be interesting to see an xray of her spine/pelvis because it looks far from normal.

EDIT: Just seen a pic of her in another newspaper, deffo does not look natural and her legs are even thinner in the photo, she looks really very sick and emaciated indeed.

Imagine what she would look like in "once a week" gear, novelty factor might be off the scale.

Looks like everyone without exception thinks this look is bloody shockin so it begs the question why the hell has a fashion company taken her on with her odd, emaciated and non human look

What kind of message does this send to our kids i wonder? especially young impressionable girls

Should this kind of thing be banned to protect "normaility"? I ask cos I saw a program over the weekend where massive amounts of calories in takeaway food were being questioned as countries like UK, USA and Aus have got more overweight/obese people than ever and if we don't legislate, where will it end? Do we need to protect people from themselves or keep distorting reality?

What do you guys reckon?

I didn't see the programme, but I've noticed that McDs etc are having to show the number of kJs against each 'meal' selection. Their new chocolate frappe (milk shake) 2500kJ . . . the average daily intake for an adult is only 8500kJ . . . just nuts.

I think the calories are the least of your worries where fast food is concerned: http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow...171209662.html

True, although making that mistake will help will help you lose weight should you want to

The woman in the article is entitled to be whatever shape she wants to be, the people promoting it need their heads looking at though.

Regarding fast food labelling, I like to know what I am consuming so it's a good thing.

I doubt it will help the majority to cut back if this is their problem though, I would imagine anyone eating that much crap is beyond reason/dietary analysis.

IMO you've got to get deep into the underlying issues (self-esteem, etc) before you can tackle bad habits effectively for the long-term. Get the mind right and everything follows ...

I read a book before Xmas called 'Sweet Poison' http://sweetpoison.com.au/ which is basically about how we're slowly killing ourselves with high-sugar diets . . . simple carbs (white bread, white rice), carbonated drinks, fruit juice, snacks, fast food etc . . . and how, by avoiding these foods we can get a balance back in our diet. Since New Year I've lost 4 kgs by just avoiding these food types and not adding sugar to things like cereal, coffee etc. A good read and I'd thoroughly recommend it.

We certainly don't ban. We don't legislate. People complain about the Nanny State/Big Brother. Who tells us what we can and can't eat? That's an outrageous suggestion. We teach properly. Who says what people need protecting? The very thought is horrifying.
