How's your Asthma ?

I've been having the worst hay fever induced Asthma of my Life over the last 2 or 3 weeks. My Hay Fever tablets and Inhaler have been only partially effective and becoming less and less effective each day so it seemed. In fact over the last two days I had a couple of really bad coughing fits that almost caused me to pass out with Oxygen/CO2 (?} starvation.
After a particuarly bad episode late last night... probably induced by getting on the booze quite heavily and facing anothing fitful sleepless night I turned to the internet.

All I can say is I'm glad I did... this Absoultely definitely worked for me. I've had the best night sleep this Asthma season... In fact I was going to phone the Radio Station and ask if anyone else had heard of this. I'm going to study all of these associated youtube clips. For me is been the biggest medical relief since I was carried into a Chiropractor with a slipped disc and managed to walk out (albeit in some pain) after one session.

So who else has tried the Buteyko Method ? This was great for me.

Hmmm link may not be working... try this

My hayfever is atrocious this year, I seem to have been sneezing for weeks, and its affecting my breathing as well, need my inhaler most mornings on the way to work which is just shocking - I never even needed one till I came here
Might have a watch later.....

Hard part will be breathing through a blocked nose... Luckily for me, Telfast was actually letting me do that.... I was still sneezing and wheezing badly though. Only symptom left today is some sneezing. Wheezing has totally gone, Have to be conscious of the way I'm breathing though, which is slightly tiresome.... Thats much better than the alternative.

My hayfever kicked in yesterday and is bad this morning as well. The last 2 weeks I've been really wheezy. I don't have asthma but periodically end up on an inhaler from the Dr as I get very wheezy. Down here, it could be Shell lung!

My daughter had bad hayfevwer and asthma in early spring- then someone suggested she have pineapple juice or fresh pineapple each day as well as her meds. She has been so much better since doing this.

Maybe it's an old wife's tale, but something worked for her. :fingerscrossed:

I use Seretide every day for asthma. It hasn't been as bad since the weather warmed up, but hayfever seems worse this year.

I looked into the Buteyko method years ago and didn't bother in the end.
