Actually, off topic a bit...does anyone struggle with some Australian pronounciations? Two that come to mind are 'assume' (pronounced 'as-shume' by all around me) and 'debut' which everyone here pronounces 'dey-boo,' (I say 'dey-beuuh') Or is that just my Irish accent?

I struggle with the way people from other parts of the UK pronounce stuff, can't say it's particularly important though, in actual fact I couldn't give a monkeys.

My other pet hate is "pacifically" (specifically)... I can't believe people do that.

'Pacifically' is used all the time in the Bristol area. They also have the bizarre habit of tacking an 'L' onto the ends of certain words. Such as 'Area' becoming 'Areal'

I can add the "where you too then?" question that's used widely in Bristol as well. Very odd.

And of course, everyone on here speaks and pronounces perfectly. It's just everybody else who don't.

Nothing wrong with how I speak. It's all you other people with the funny way of pronouncing things.
