Sounds a bit like what i had re going out and bed time. I was on my hen night at 20 and my father turned up at the pub at 10 saying time to come home.I was mortified, i just married into the army still given us a decent life.

I was 17. Moved into a house with three other girls and had a ball. Me and hubby moved in together at 21.
Now my poor son has left home at 17. He lives with my parents in the uk whilst we moved to the other side of the world. His choice and he is happy.

Not a very nice time for her. Still feels sense of abandonment etc.
Alot to do with the sponsoring family she first stayed with. She moved in to school accomodation and things picked up for her. Although suffered alot of racialism. But that was years ago and things are much better here now.
