8 and I'm quite impressed with myself about that as I'm not much of a music follower!

Three but one was on cassette and got dumped when we moved over. I hate so called 'experts' giving top anything. All bollox, it can only ever be personal opinion, not actual fact.

Mmmm, let's see now............I think that would be zero............maybe because I have been living here for OVER 25 years, I don't think half of this lot would be given much airwave time on Aussie radio, where's ya AC/DC, Midnight Oil, Little River Band and all the other "Aussie legends?"

17.
All the stuff by Radiohead and Muse; Loveless by My Bloody Valentine, Oasis, Blur's Parklife; U2's Joshua Tree; Hot Fuss by The Killers and one or two others.
I'd certainly agree that the list is highly subjective, and it's a very British list: some of my faves of recent years aren't there.

I can honestly say I don't think I've ever heard anything by Muse? <waits to be proved wrong>

If the question had been: "How many of these albums have you ever heard of?" I would have been able to answer: "One". And no, I didn't buy it.

I only had 3 and didn't recognise many of the bands on the list.
There seemed to be a distinct lack of albums from 20 to 30 years ago where many of my popular artist albums are from (Michael Jackson, Madonna, the Police, Duran Duran etc.)

Yes I thought that too! If it had been albums of the last 10 years then I wouldn't have even bothered reading the thread but because it said 25 years I thought "Oh yeah, I might have some like Michael Jackson or some other 80's artists" but honestly apart from the obvious like U2 and Oasis I don't even know the NAMES of some of this lot.

17 well i have them all on my hard drive, but 17 is how many i have bought on cd and Nevermind isnt one of them (pure pish if you ask me) ![Stick Out Tongue](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
and dont even get me started on guns and pure pish roses (music for people who pretend to like heavy rock)
i was starting to think the bends wasnt in the list
one of my fave albums. IMO they started to get pish after that (just a few good tracks on each album)
i was painting the other night and stuck the bends on to listen, i forgot how much i liked it.
i agree with a lot of great albums not being on the list
i think great albums have plenty of good songs on them, not just a few hits.
even jerky jackson had better albums that some on the list even though i cant stand his music, he made better albums than some of the shite on there.

Still lots of albums I can think of that are much better than those listed, but that is always the case when these lists are compiled.
Don't agree with the top 5 though or top 10 for that matter, great to see MBV there. But largely I think many great albums were ignored.
