I'm migrating on my own after the Australian dream ruined my 7 years relationship. Thing is that most ladies don't wanna hear about moving so far away from their family and friends. I'd also love to share with someone the whole experience, but all I can do is accept the reality.
I tried the dating thing after I lodged my application and to my disappointment only the ladies without a career were willing to join me to Oz. I'm thinking if there's any other lady I'll come across while I'm still in London, she either has to have the PR or be close to getting it.

There's what, 30 +/- million women in the UK. Let's say, for the sake of argument that of those, about 50% are single and who knows, of those 10% are between 20 and 40 (no idea how old you are). That is one hell of a lot of ladies for you to know well enough to say that 'most' of them don't want to move away from family and friends.

Yeah mate, that was my point. That includes ladies with a degree but with no work experience in the field of the degree and ladies still involved in full time or part time education either because they're too young or because they're changing careers.

The easiest way of filtering them out is by checking their eligibility for a skilled independent visa. If they don't meet the points threshold, then I'm better off on my own. And that includes the IELTS test even if they're native English speakers

It's obviously based on my experience. The problem is that one needs to spend some time with a lady before bringing up the immigration subject and when there are only a few months left till the big move, there are only a few attempts to make. I can't be bothered to do that again Just too much hassle if they have no intention of migrating to Oz in the near future.

Getting the visa, pretty easy.................

Validating the visa..............hey just a short holiday................

Making the move............****** stressfull, but hey it will be okay? Yep, righty right! Living the dream here we come...............

Doing the time, making it work, not jumping on the first plane home at the first sign of homesickness...............single life? For the half that was sure waving the other half good bye at the airport............

p.s. i'll answer all the pm's one by one, just give me a few days, i will get round to all of you! Gonna cost me a good few pies!
