From what I could read, in a hurry, it is the amount per person. So, if you could pool between adults, at least it gives a few more.

And the best place to buy them will be in SE Asia (if you pass there in transit).

Cos he will find it too hard to light

I'm stopping in singapore but won't be leaving the airport.
Anyone any idea how much he's likely to save on 200 fags compared to uk prices?

20 B&H now costs £6. At Changi you'll be about to pick up 200 for about £10.

You are allowed to bring 2.25 litres of alcoholic beverages for each passenger aged 18 years or over. And for tobacco 250 cigarettes, or 250 grams of cigars or tobacco products for each passenger aged 18 years or over. One opened packet containing 25 cigarettes or less is also allowed.

Duty free limits into UK from non-EU Country

According to that its 200 cigarettes, and you have to be 17 or over (both for tobacco and alcohol allowances, which surprised me)

This is into Aus, limits into the UK are different. 200 ciggies per adult is the UK allowance
