How long you been up for sale ? (uk)
We have a house for sale in UK.
Been on for 6 weeks, ish.
Not a sniff of interest.
Would like to know what the go is with other ppl, and how many viewings they are getting etc and for how long they have been on the market.

We have only had ours on the market since 16th april, we havent had any viewings yet, we was due to have one over weekend but the man of the couple became ill on friday and had to go into hospital, so the EA said he is still interested in having a look when he gets better, so we will see.
kind regards

We have been on the market since the start of July last year, havent had a viewer since last August, we are in N Ireland though and things are alot slower here, lot of uncertainty about with the credit crunch unfortunately, but you just dont know what is happening, there still are people selling houses quick quickly so good luck

Benn on since Nov, had 6 viewings, 2 offers 1 silly one. Excepted second offer but they pulled out last week due to their mortgage and needing 15% deposit. Got a new EA start with them on the 1st may.

Have you thought about renting the house.....through an agent......for a year or 2 until the property market settles again?
Just a thought mate

1st attempt- From June 07- August 07...about 5 viewers, no offers. Took off the market because we got a new tenant in (we are already in Oz), just put back on 2 weeks ago, for 30K less than last year. Our current tenant wants to stay in the property until we sell (which is a double edged sword).
We have rented in Sydney for 18 months now, and just taken on a 6 month extension, so hope to sell in that time (but not holding breath).
If its any consolation, in Sydney, house prices seem to have flattened, and in some areas, appear to have dropped a little in the time I have been watching the market. There has been a few consecutive interest rate rises which have slowe things down. There has also been an influx of houses onto the market here, which is apparently suprising as we are going into winter, and this may reflect the uncertainty in the market here too. On the up side, we sell in a low and buy in a low, so its all relative!
From our experience, selling a house while tenanted is problematic, especially if they have no desire to move on (as we experienced with the old tenants, who put everyone off that viewed!). I think that in hindsight (so powerful isn't it??) we would have tried to sell before coming over, definately not tried to do it this way, which is very very frustrating when you have limited control over what is going on (i.e. house presentation etc) But at the time we needed to move quickly, and wanted to keep the house as a safeguard in case we didn't settle etc.
I suppose what I am trying to say in a long winded way is that in an ideal world, we would all get visas, sell our houses for a profit, move over to oz, settle beautifully and live happily ever after in a house with pool and ocean view............screeeeeeeech....now for the reality check......
Anyone want a four bedder with countryside views in village location............thought not!!!
I suppose good things come to those who wait........fingers crossed to all...

Been on market since 3rd January, 2 viewers from EA and 2 via someone else, no offers. Reduced 50k already and will now reduce another 25k putting on with another EA.
