How has your day been?

Re: How has your day been?
I've never been - just looked it up on google. Have you been before?
Still stressing over the removals, and trying to get permits for weapons. Did get a reply from customs who say that I should have the permits before shipping, not must have the permits, and that they can be held for a couple of weeks after arrival for me to try and get permits later - no mention of being fined or anything. SAPOL have not replied yet, and they need to grant permission before I can get the permit. Guess I shall have to stick to boxing

Re: How has your day been?
Ok so to the people who voted me to win lotto I'd like to say thank you. Last week we found out that a claim we put in on our trauma cover for him having cancer was accepted and we became non brassic to the tune of nearly 60k. Today we got a letter from the insurance company to say they'd made an error on our premiums and gave us 1.5k back.
I got an email saying I hadn't got a job but you know what, I don't care!!!!!!!

Re: How has your day been?
Well my good friend from Sydney told me today she has terminal cancer and a few weeks to live. My son didn't turn up and my parcel delivery was an hour late and as I'm profoundly deaf that meant an extra hour sitting staring at the door.
However on the plus side Its been a beautiful sunny day the crocuses and snowdrops are flowering and I got some wood carving done so it all balances out
Glad you have some money sparkles chuck some my way would you

Re: How has your day been?
Where do I start, in the past 3 weeks ago my GP thought I had bowel cancer, I came out of his surgery cried my eyes out, thinking I should have done that damn envelop tester thing that I received recently, but after seeing the specialist & spending fortune, all the test came back negative,
Then I go back to see him with pain on my right hand side still really bad he tells me He know what it is, its very rear hernia with German name can't remember, well so far all the test has come back negative.
I dread to go back to my GP tomorrow, fed up with him guessing & sending me to see all these specialist who are all doing so well out of me.

Re: How has your day been?
GP's are ultra cautious - they send you for lots of tests to rule out stuff, but it is a pain in the purse! I think it is better to rule out things though.
I was recently tested for all sorts of cancer things, but mine turned out to be a blood hormone imbalance due to my age and the menopause! (I'm one of a minority of women who produce pregnancy hormones even though we are well past child bearing age, and it sets alarm bells ringing when it comes up in blood tests!)
I hope you find some answers- my bowel problems were due to gluten intolerance, and the symptoms mostly went away once I went on a GF diet, with the added bonus that the lactose intolerance almost disappeared as the gut healed!

Re: How has your day been?
I'll have to iron my fringe again- in all the humidity my hair goes frizzy and my fringe curls itself into two horns- very like a mad cow!!
In the UK it was always straight and limp......not sure why it has gone like it has out here.....perhaps all hair is destined to be a mullett! (It also goes quite coppery, so I keep dyeing it brown.)

Think I might have a coffee or 3- but then I'll be so jumpy I'll hit the wrong buttons or overthink things.

Re: How has your day been?
Well, after waiting in a long queue for nearly 1.5 hours with no water or food, I was called to the booth to have my documents checked- only to have some indian looking guy push in front of me and take my place. Turns out he was in the wrong building! After another 10 mins delay, I was processed and went for my test. Lo and behold- computer problems. Then someone tried to take the test before they had been processed, so there was another delay whilst she was taken off the computer and sent to join the queue. Several people lost their tempers as staff went off to lunch, leaving only 2 people to process a whole room of increasingly annoyed applicants- and it was suprising how many just didn't do their forms correctly.
Anyway- once I finally got onto a working computer I whizzed through the test in under 3 mins- and got 100%
Then the computer failed to submit it. Cue more fiddling about, until they finally found the result on one system but not the other.
So, 2 of us down and just DD to go. They said get it in asap as there is a 6 month wait between inteview and ceremony.
Oh, and I got home to find an any invasion in the kitchen. Dang.
