Well my good friend from Sydney told me today she has terminal cancer and a few weeks to live. My son didn't turn up and my parcel delivery was an hour late and as I'm profoundly deaf that meant an extra hour sitting staring at the door.
However on the plus side Its been a beautiful sunny day the crocuses and snowdrops are flowering and I got some wood carving done so it all balances out

Ok so to the people who voted me to win lotto I'd like to say thank you. Last week we found out that a claim we put in on our trauma cover for him having cancer was accepted and we became non brassic to the tune of nearly 60k. Today we got a letter from the insurance company to say they'd made an error on our premiums and gave us 1.5k back.
I got an email saying I hadn't got a job but you know what, I don't care!!!!!!!

Happy, happy, happy, and totally worn out.
School swimming carnival, and DD was amazing, smashing her PB's in every race, coming 2nd overall in the 17yr age championship, and qualifying for the blue riband 100 free event as one of the top 10 fastest swimmers in the whole school- she has never done that before! She finished 9th -against state and national champions in an event where she doesn't even qualify for State! (And got a QT, but is retiring!)
Both her coaches and DD are very pleased- bodes well for the big comp at IGSSA. She has been told she is not allowed to be ill or injure herself for the next two weeks.
