How has your day been?

Re: How has your day been?
Been a lovely afternoon, except for the annoying fact that my new swimsuit just isn't supportive enough Going to have to fork out for another Bravissimo swimsuit or two. It gets quite disconcerting having to pop my puppies back into their kennel every time I try to ride a wave.

Not been doing much other than drinking too much, eating too much and generally feeling a bit sorry for myself. Need a good kick up the arse, anyone willing to oblige??

Re: How has your day been?
Went for a swim with Mr PP and the dog, which was rather nice until the dog started to herd us all up in the water - I say 'all' as this included a woman that we didnt know but she needed herding up anyway.
Met a woman who was travelling around Australia so had a coffee with her - she was lovely, dropped her off in Freo, did some shopping, now sitting at home chilling out.

Re: How has your day been?
Got blisters from pruning and trimming the grass edges by hand as the strimmer is a no-go. Had to jump in the pool twice as I was too hot.
Now, having been woken up twice in the night by OH turning on the light (it is one of those touch lamps and he was flailing about) I am rather grumpily sitting eating my breakfast at 6am, when I could have had a lie-in.

Re: How has your day been?
Good idea..... I'm going to try that.
I've been using a electric whipper snipper and thats too harsh.... Or I cant use it without scalping the edges more like.
I take it you just stick the saw on the surface and go for your life ? I mean what technique do you use ?
Be aware that I'm in love with my lawn I just want it to look good really

I don't really feel like I've been a part of today, just grasped at the coat-tails and hung on really.
Going to have another glass of red and call it a day, maybe it will make more sense in the morning.
I suspect not though, the OH has gone to see Ringo tonight, I aim to be comatose when she returns ... Romantic huh?

Been to the doctor's today (regular check up)
Good news - I only have to go back in 6 months for my diabetes check (cos ah is such a gooooood girl - I knew the carbs in wine didn't count)
Bad news - the cartilage damage I sustained in my left knee back in the 90s (bad slip on wet grass, not allowed to obtain medical treatment as 'you don't have time to go to the doctors, we're self employed blah blah blah' so it was just strapped up and 'rested') and which I have systematically failed to get treated any time since, has come back to bite me in the arse. Well, not literally, I don't think I could get my knee anywhere near my arse.
Lots of pain if I put weight on it when it's bent so painkillers and gel to see if the inflammation will go down of its own accord, the promise of x-rays and much manipulation and 'other options' if it doesn't.
I'm a strange creature - a hypochondriac who generally refuses to go to the doctor (or, when I've had to go there every three months for the last two years refuses to discuss anything of any merit) just in case my worries are confirmed. The problem is, my worries are always confirmed so perhaps I'm not really a hypochodriac, just stupid?
That last question was definitely rhetorical.

Had a very up and down day...started with reading an email from a migration agent back in the UK that didn't offer much help or possibilities for Amy's visa - and ended with a bantering email from a much better migration agent who is keen to help put my mind at rest one way or the other.
