Re: How has your day been?
Had a giggle this morning, Mr PP gets something in the post telling him about a faecal sample thing to test for bowel cancer as he is now 50 years old. He was mortified. Not so much at the test because that is a good thing but the fact that it's something you get when you reach 50 and I think he had an 'oh my god Im getting old' moment.
It's good that this sort of stuff is available to us though and so detectable.

Just a word to the wise. My bowel cancer screening test thingy should have included some diatry advice for prior to the sample being "collected". It didn't so I ate on regardless. Anway, my test came back positive for blood. So immediate panic followed by the wait followed by the colonoscopy. Result? All clear? Explanantion? "You might have had a rare steak or something a couple of days before."

I as warned not to do the screening as I had piles- this was by my gastrologist AFTER I'd already done it. Anyway. the colonoscopy cleared me for nasty things.

I had butter chicken and rice for lunch in the seminar room while watching visiting cardiologists perform the most boring angioplasty ever. Now I need a sleep. These 6:30 am starts are not for the feint of heart.

I'll trade you a dodgy oven for a washing machine that overflows and is awaiting parts for me to fit ... again ... at what point is a new one desirable?

Apart from the airconditioning unit.... OMG NO!!!!!! NOT THE AIRCON.... Dear sweet jesus... Dont let it be the air cons turn tomorrow

Fiirst one lasted 20 years. Second one lasted one year and one day. Third one got left somewhere. Brought one from England with me when it was 4 years old and it has done 6 here.
Being on tank water, the newer front loaders that use minimal amounts of water might be the way to go. Prices are reasonable now I'd say. Samsung, Bosch even cheap at Hardly Normal. Appliances online seem to get good reviews.
