Re: How has your day been?
1st Jan has started off stressful, Dad has been told that there is a 'high risk of his prostate cancer spreading to other organs' as it is a high grade on the scale which is 2 out of 10 and Dads is a 7.
I am trying not to worry but its hard not to.
I dont believe in writing off the whole year because of one thing and thinking that 2014 will be crap, I think it may be a difficult year but I dont believe it will be crap.
Oh well, just goes to show we never know what is around the corner and should make the most of what we do have instead of what we would like to have.

Very fragile.
Shitbags mother goes home today. We have had our issues over the years, and of course there was the elephant in the room which we didn't talk about until after Christmas.... We chose to eat that elephant....
Today, if asked, I would move back to the UK

Re: How has your day been?
Had an 'A' day today, I'm due to drive up to QLD in the next couple of days and wanted to get the car serviced before I go. Of course with the Christmas holidays, it seems that every mechanic in NSW was off duty until 6th Jan at least.
Today while I was getting fuel, I noticed that the local servo's mechanic was on duty, so I walked over and said g'day and told him my tale of woe.
One hour later I was driving home with a grease and oil change done, a full safety check and a globe replaced...total bill $101
While he was checking the vehicle, he noticed the the front brake pads were low and advised that I would soon need the pads replacing and the rotors machined. I asked him how much and he said $250 !
I feel like I've won lotto...is these prices cheap or have I been paying over the odds for work in the past ?

I Spent some years being completely used before I woke up and smelled the coffee...
Laugh about it now, but it was a bugger at the time I realized...

Re: How has your day been?
I'd be your proper friend if you lived up my way. You and Eddie could have come around and helped me eat Katie's birthday cake and drink some of the 30 bottles of wine I have in my fridge

Dang, just realised it'll have to be virtual only, as I live in Sydney, and also have about 30 bottles of wine in the garage.
