For anyone out there not sure whether to make that journey to see a loved one, please do it before it is too late. I was literally hours too late in seeing my mum and instead of spending some precious time with her, I am now having to organise her funeral and look after my dad. Those times are precious and we don't appreciate them until it's too late.
(((hugs)))

Don't forget to look after yourself too

I have, I took all the good advice on here and flew out on the 14th - luckily I have a fantastic boss (the oh is pretty good too) who let me take 2 weeks leave at very short notice.

I am going home on Saturday with mixed emotions - mum has a very good support network of friends and family and I have sorted some stuff to make life easier for her so I'm happy with that but I'm not happy that I probably won't see her again.

Remember to take care of yourself too, and think of all the good times you had xx
