Yes, dayglow orange is not a good look for the sky. I think it is safe here, just really eerie. I forgot I had washing on the line- well, it smells of smoke and has soot stains on it, so it will have to be redone, but if that is the worst that happens I will be thankful.

No. Weird weird. Massive change in temp and weather, the smoke from the NSW fires seemed to get up to us so hazy and odd. However driving along our road I noticed all the Noisy Miners were affected by something. They were flying, then spiralling down, crashing into the road on their heads, fluttering wings and flying up again. I actually hit at least two because they crashed just as I got to them and couldn't avoid them. Must have been at least 20 odd at least. However when I went out later, there were no birds on the ground.
Also the pool was totally covered with the bodies of thousands of a fly I've not seen before. None anywhere else, just the pool.
Like I said, weird.

My day has been long but awesome. After a day of auditions youngest child has won a place in the live rounds of The Voice Kids, 8000 kids applied. To say I am stoked is an understatement!!!
