fussier than a fussy thing on fussy day in the middle of fussy week

i kid you not

we had an email stating that they had found a whicker basket that didint have an import permit, so they wanted $120 for the permit plus fumigation costs
but at least they distroyed for for free

i kmow of another chap who tried to import two hawthorn walking sticks
customs insisted on fumigating them ( at his expense evn though they where varnished and painted etc ) when he recieved the sticks they were fooked
all split and horribly bent
he called the customs and asked why??
the fumigation process involving heating them to 150 degrees C in an oven

On a positive note, we simply sailed through with ours, we brought a bike, garden furniture and wait for it... a playhouse from the garden. All had a clean but I don' think hubby got a toothbrush to the bike chain or anything. They did look at the stuff, had unzipped the cushions from the furniture and stickered it all as passed. One basket through, no problem. Chairs with that criss cross wicker type seating, whilst I hate to admit I have them, got through without hitch. Our shippers were pretty laid back about it and said the big worry for them is stuff which comes into contact with plant life. They apparently get REALLY itchy about tea chests.

I think it has a lot to do with what side of bed they got out on too.

Just give your stuff a good clean.
