I've suggested separate beds, he took offence :) All I want to do is get myself on a reasonable bit of mattress, with perhaps a bit of sheet covering me (he can have the duvet, I don't want it), read for a little bit without him muttering 'have you not finished that arsing page yet' and 'do we have to have Blackpool Illuminations in here' and then not have to fight him off when he's having a bad dream. When I go to sleep, I usually lie in one position all night. When he goes to sleep he tosses and turns and mutters and shouts and talks and waves his arms around in the air and kicks and sweats his sweatie bits off cos he's got all of the duvet wrapped around him, then he tries to cover me with it and puts pillows on my head (??) and shuffles me off the bed so that I'm lying braced against my bedside cabinet with one foot on the floor and you all know that if you have bits hanging off the bed the underbed monster will get you and pull you into the depths of hell AND I JUST WANT TO GO TO ******* SLEEP. Phew. Glad I got that out of my system. |

Tell him to lay off the crate of whisky of an evening :D So, anyway, when I'm left to my own devices, I like to sleep pretty much in a recovery position kind of manner, with the pillow at an angle under my head and the arm crossing my body and if my back is playing up, with another pillow under my knee. |

Men tremble (as indeed does the very earth upon which I walk) as I bestride the world like a mighty Colossus. There are only 2 types of man not scared of me - stupid ones and dead ones. *Muahahahahahahahâ„¢ (*patented Evil Villain Cackle) |

Unfortunately I stole (and adapted) the phrase from Willy Shakespeare - its about the only quote I can remember from doing Julius Caesar for English Lit O level - although in my defence it was 25 years ago.
I have a thing about the word 'infiltrate' I am a bit strange I suppose. |
