Question housesale timescale???????

Just wondering how long from the surveys being done on your house to moving out?Reason for asking is that we have had loads of grief with our house sale putting our move to oz back ages but finally our buyer has got a buyer for there house.Surveys on ours and there house are done .No upper chain our end and there buyer has no chain.Any ideas on a timescale???

Cheers

Well the survey was done on our house 4 weeks ago and we have not moved anywhere. The results were sent back to the buyer after a few days saying it was fine, the valuation was fine etc. A week after that the mortgage company told them they wanted a load of other surveys done (cavity wall ties, electric, timber etc) before they will lend the money. And so far nothing has been aranged.
Grrrrrr, we had expected it to be nearly done now as our solicitors said it could be as quick as 4 weeks as there are no chains, but no.
Good luck

our buyer had survey done on our house 7 weeks ago but there buyer couldnt get the mortgage he said he already had !!!!!!!!!:curse:.So we waited for them to get another buyer and 2 weeks ago one came along. The survey was done on there house last week and hopping it will all go through quick.OH spoke to someone at our solicitors and they reckon 8 wekks but cant see why it would be that long as no upper or chain and also our buyers buyer has nothing to sell.

Same as us but only took 7 weeks this was after being told it would only take 4 to 5 weeks but I had taken that with a pinch of salt and planned 8.
