Hi just fancy having a moan, will our house ever sell? cant stand looking at the board outside wondering if it will sell, so that we can go. Cant go without house sale!
Is anyone else in the same boat? iIf so please moan along with me.
Any ideas on the housing market for 2008?

Hi, in same boat, hopefully our houses will sell soon, then Oz here we come...Where in Uk are you, we're near sunny Bournemouth! Hubby on his way to Oz as we speak, lucky bugger, to look at some property!

Been on since 2nd week july and only 4 viewers:curse:

Hopefully it'll pick up in new year.......I think I read somewhere , maybe on here, that interest rates are almost certainly going to drop in new year but possibly before christmas:unsure:

If so hopefuly it will get the market moving again......all be it much slower than before.

Hi Jane, ours only been on the market a month so ask me the same question in a few months, might be going mad by then! Its just another waiting game, first getting the visa now it selling the house. We must all be crazy...

Hi all

We are putting our house on the market straight after Christmas.
Difficult to say whether we will get much interest, estate agent says we should sell quickly as 4 beds in demand (but they would say that, wouldn't they;))
If the Bank of England drops interest rates, I reckon it will help the market overall, so fingers crossed.
Our house looks lovely now as I spent all day yesterday getting it ready!
Won't stay like that once the gang are home later:frown:

Hiya Jane,

Not been on here for a while, but we have had our visas since April and been trying to sell house since May, only 1 viewing and a £50k drop in price and I must say its really getting me down now. Lets hope 2008 brings us all some good luck.

Had ours on since beginning of September and have our second viewer today.

Hi Guys,

Join the club! Ours has been on since May 07. Accepted one offer which was withdrawn in July.:curse: Lots of interest before that, but not much since then - despite reducing the price.

There is a whole thread dedicated to us folk stuck in this situation - the Whinging Pom House Seller thread. Come and join in the moaning! (We have some fun too and two people completed last week!!:thumbup:)

We are in the same boat too.....

House went on the market in May, got both a buyer and our Visa's in June and then the buyer couldn't sell theirs.... decided to take it off the market as nothings moving near us and put it back on in Jan.

I'm trying not to think about it really - even ooked blxxdy lapland for christmas to take our mibd of it... but I just get days when I feel like I'm treading water and it'll never happen.... just feel like really dropping the price to just get shut but we need the equity and have 0 savings..... we could end up living in a cardboard box at the mo....

Our house has been on the market since April...........changed Estate Agents in October and dropped £10k.............and dropped another £5k today :ohmy:
Only one viewing last week but my garden wasn't big enough for her pack of hunting dogs!!!!! :curse:

great! She doesnt want my house in North Yorkshire does she?? Mine has a huge garden and has a whole pack of huskey dogs next door!!! :blink:
