Hi everyone,

se are still here, still busy with the house sale. We are waiting for the buyer to receive her official mortgage offer, we have had survey done, so just waiting for that. Getting to the question , how long does it normally take for the buyer to get the mortgage offer so things get moving. The land registry searches are been done at the moment so got to wait for that as well. Please someone out there please give me some reasurance and some guide on how things work selling a house.

It took ten days for our buyers mortgage offer and searches to be done. The mortgage provider (Halifax) are slow apparantly, so depending on who your buyer is using it shouldn't take that long.

You'll be amazed at how quick things happen once they recieve that back, we had moved out 18 days after our buyer got hers

Thanks for that info, its been about 10 days now actually and the searches were started then as well so it shouldnt be to long now i hope. She has been trying to get a mortgage for nearly 6 months now. We are hoping to leave for brissie by the end of July, but cant see that happening.

It shouldnt be long know. We exchanged about 2 weeks after our buyer got his offer, and that was with him being a difficult bugger.
