I was on a tiger flight into brisbane from melb last night about 8.30pm, plane did one of those huge drops as we went through the clouds

Been too busy clearing up to check out the exact size ... Cars are only cars, it's what insurance is for ... Weird steamy atmosphere post-storm though, quite other-worldly ...

Just copped hail whilst travelling around Carindale way. Very heavy but fortunately only the size of small marbles.

It really did look like it had snowed up here this morning. It took ages for last night's accumulated hail to melt. Piles of the stuff collected at the bottom of our down-spouts off the roof - they hit the 'leaf-eater' grates half way down and bounced off. Those in the shade still haven't melted away 24 hours later.
