Will consider all - my wife is comparing any thing we get to our X5 and 535 over here. Personally Im sick of having a nice car and jealous idiots scratching the sides or letting down the tyres. And no i dont cut people up thinking my car is better or bigger - still remain a chilled out kiwi and let others in.
Try a Cayenne then!

The worst car I ever had was an X type. It as a complete lemon and I got rid of it after a year.

Its not a prestige car, its a rebadged Mondeo, shame the service costs dont match its build history.

I totally disagree. My X type is the most reliable car I've ever had and the cheapest I've ever had to run. It costs £200 a year to insure, £112 a year to tax and does 65 miles to the gallon in complete luxury.

It's the best car I've ever had and if it was economical to export it I would.

Cheers

Probably best to do what I did in the UK, and buy a nearly new one, which already had most of those extras fitted.

I suspect in Oz I will buy a 7 seater big lump of a thing as I'll have a lot more to cart around.

Will miss the Jag though .

Cheers

Hmmm - looks interesting.

Can anyone recommend what 7 seater I could buy if I wanted one with all the extras eg leather seats, cruise control, sat nav blah de blah? I've looked at several of the Australian car websites but would appreciate personal suggestions. Will need to carry Mum, Dad, 2 kids, Grandparents at times, dive gear, ski gear, camping gear, whatever.

Thanks

Buzzy
