lol I had no idea such a place existed!" Nimbin is notable for the prominence of its cannabis counterculture. Writer Austin Pick described his initial impressions of the village this way: "It is as if a smoky avenue of Amsterdam has been placed in the middle of the mountains behind frontier-style building facades. ... Nimbin is a strange place indeed" .... hope you have a good sleep

These can be a bit of a pain if you're taking a boat somewhere.

I suspect mum (Perdita) may have another little one around somewhere or due soon as only Pongo has been around the last few nights. Last time Perdita vanished for a couple of weeks she came back with a baby in tow - riding on her back as you can see in one of the pics
My cats love them as well. That's the possums of course, not the crackers.

It sure is interesting, it is also damned dangerous by all accounts ... under the chilled-out exterior lies some serious issues, unsurprisingly.

I shall have to set my yurt up somewhere else. Not so far away are the foothills of Mount Warning, some of the best scenery I've seen so far in Oz

Am a pagan, so all things dangerous suit me just fine from what I`ve read the town is a huge tourist attraction? This must be Ozzy paradise for those that worship the cannabis plant

I has a certain pull to those of a herbal remedy disposition

Byron Bay isn't far away so that area has always been a place for people 'escape' to.

Home growing is rife in QLD apparently, I have seen precious little and am wondering if I am socialising with the wrong people

More learned members tell me the schools are awash with bongs and pipes but the most dangerous thing I have scored at the local state school is a strawberry slushie. This does, however, have the same effect as speed on a six year old ...

Of course you mean me once passed around a massive new years eve joint on nimbin high st under the steady gaze of two nsw policemen 2 metres away...thought I was in amsterdam for a while there

Think it was the same night one of my mates proposed to his girlfriend with a glassy grin...does it mean anything that they are still going strong many years later

Never forget being in the local 7 eleven equivalent buying a snack when the bloke before me mumbled for something and out shot a drawer full of every implement and cleaning device he could ever need...talk about catering to your customers needs
