Ah but we are talking "trailer trash" types here- the bogan equivalent. I am presuming your friends are not that sort of people.

Re: Help..... Strippers

Anything remotely French sounding that is not an actual first name anywhere in the French speaking world
Eg. Chantelle (brand of lingerie in France) and all its derivative spellings - Shontelle (WTF!), Chantel, Shantelle...

Anything with an apostrophe in it
Eg De'Anne, D'Arcy (still don't get how Darcy is a first name but hey, that's just me), Bree'Ann

I hadn't realized I'd given my daughter a strippers name! My husband named her after his truck ;)

Interestingly my daughter has an Alexis, Lexi & Ginger on her hockey team. I've never considered those stripper names either, maybe it's not the same in Canada?

There's a woman in the olympics who's first name is Campbell. That's slightly odd imo.

Trouble with teaching was that it severely limited your choice of names for kids, on the girls side I personally wouldn't use...
Maddie
Lucy
Chloe
Megan
Alex
Molly
As there were sooooo many of them!

Sharon and Tracy or Tracey should be used as a nod to your background surely?

Wait til they reach college age ;)

In fact, I wonder what names her friends would choose if they did become strippers? Probably normal ones like Sarah, Doris or Kylie

Read the deaths column and see which names have stood the test of time.

And make it something easy to spell. A lifetime of spelling out your name can be tedious.

Re: Help..... Strippers

I had dealings with someone through work who had named their (poor) child
La-a.

How do you think that should be pronounced? I went for (sounds like) Lar.

It's actually pronounced (and I'm not making this up) 'La dash uh'.
Seriously.
