British, Spanish, Dutch, French, American etc. Where ever there were cheap eggs on the market. Also sometimes the British market couldn't produce enough in high demand peaks such as Xmas and Summer

Without wishing to sound patronising, Good girl! Free range is a con.

If you care at all, you want to buy your eggs where you can see the hens if possible. Free roaming is the way

Yeah I know about the free range con.

I buy my eggs where the chickies run around outside in the sunshine. A happy chicken makes happy eggs.

They don't seem very good at relish here.... I quite liked this tomato relish when I lived in the UK, which was nice on cheese. I don't see that sort of thing here.

Anyone buy anything like that?

He sounds like he needs to talk to Moneypen's other half.

The only outcome of this thread for us is that the boss can't work out why, on returning home, I pretty much made a bee-line for the mayonaise jar. It must have been obvious that I was up to something by the way I opened it and sniffed the contents.

The shame - she buys the S & W stuff - could have sworn she got the Hellman equivalent... she chooses it because it has organic eggs.

And yes, it is a bit sweet. So I will buy the Best one, for a comparison, and see if she notices.
