Default Heathrow Connections - Time?

Has anyone transferred from T1 to T3 at Heathrow recently? And how long did it take from plane landing to getting to international departures at T3? Have just read that you should leave two hours for this, which seems a little excessive....

The transfer wouldn't take two hours, but remember you need to go through the security checks and passport control - THAT could easily fill the time.

Cheers Pollyana. Basically our flight gets into T1 at 18:05 and then our next one leaves T3 (to Oz!) at 22:00. Just wondering if we have left enough time... Used to dealing with titchy Scottish airports. Its a Saturday if that make any difference.

Will we have enought time?

You should have plenty of time. Transfer takes about 20 mins - as previous poster said, the rest of the time is just messing about. I reckon you'll get to T3 before your check in opens.

That sounds like plenty assuming you are arriving on a domestic flight into T1. There are walkways between terminals 1 and 3 so it wont take you long to get there. Check in for the international flight will open about 3 hrs before the flight IIRC.

3hr 55m sounds fine even at Heathrow <g>. It's only a 5 minute travolator walk.

Thanks everyone. Now, what can I worry about next? Singapore airport probably. Strange how I don't care about the flight on the way back...
