I haven't been to one (don't know if there have been any in my neck of the woods) but when we're in Oz I'd love to come to one. I think it'd be nice to meet some of the people you kind of get to know on this forum. And it must be nice to have a kind of social occassion to go to when you don't know anyone in a country.
So next year when I'm there I'll definitely come to one in the Brissie area (or Gold Coast if that's where they happen!).
Just because you go to meets, doesn't mean you only want to have ex-pat friends.
