Have you been jabbed?

Had my first jab this morning. I actually don't feel that great and am going to bed
I have to say that the vaccine clinic out at the airport is very slick. I was in and out in under 25 minutes. They could have easily doubled the numbers of people going through and it wouldn't have been stretched

Deb & I had our first AZ jabs a while ago, we're due the second some time this month. It's not been without some local controversy: The eldest GD [16 in December] came home from her boyfriend's and declared that his mother was very disappointed in us. Apparently we're "sheep that are being lied to" bla bla bla. Virus "contains microchips to track us and kill us" because "Bill Gates wants to reduce the world population by two billion". "More dangerous than covid itself" etc.etc.I sent her over the next time with a roll of tin foil "to make herself some new hats"
We appear to live in Qld's equivalent to Bryon Bay, everyone we speak to is anti vax. Robert Young & Andrew Wakefield are heralded as heroes' for daring to expose the conspiracy.
My wife works in aged care, recently declared mandatory to have the jab. She was screamed at last week by a woman, ranting that she wasn't to touch her fu***ng mother because she'd had the jab. She's refused point blank for her 80yr old mother to have it and is demanding the care home employ unvaccinated staff to tend to her. I shake my head in wonderment......
It's getting to the point where I'm really kind of hoping that the "Delta variant" escapes the lockdown and blows out up here.

First Pfizer jab today, no discernible effects yet. Though from the (widely varied) experiences of my mates at work, if there's going to be a serious kick, it's on the second round.

Aus and NZ are probably the only countries in the world, where more people will die from Covid and it's mutations "after" the population have been fully vaccinated. I wonder how people will react if that realisation and probablity comes to the fore.
Australia's Covid death toll stands at 910 at present.

I had my first AZ a couple of weeks ago and seem to have survived. Stung a bit on the way in, arm hurt like a bugger for a few days and felt a bit fluey the next day. Same reaction for my wife. Another ten weeks before the second one. Happy to have them done as we need to visit Brisbane and Sydney later this year.

No. 910 had just arrived from the Philippines, April 2021.
Before that, No.909 was in December 2020

Either vax is good. Take what you can get. The important thing is getting vaxxed by any brand. Edit. Not any brand. It looks like countries like Brazil and Chile might need to come around again after getting massive numbers, but using the poorly effective Sinovac shots
