Has anyone done this
Hello All
I have aloan back in the UK and there is two years left to run. I am about to move house here in Oz and wondered if anyone has oops forgotten to pay their loan and just done a bunk on the payments? I am not considering going back to the UK, even for a holiday in the next so many years. So if anyone has done this can you give me your thoughts? Many thanks |

Re: Has anyone done this
a friend of mine did this. Left a CC bill of a couple of grand along with a couple of hire purchase debts outstanding.
He hasn't heard anything form them in the 5 years he has been in oz. How he'd do getting credit back in UK i don't know... |
Re: Has anyone done this
Well I can tell you that the Inland Revenue now persue you to Australia, find out where you're living and send you a letter to tell you that you owe them money from their over payment of Family Tax Credits.... so if it's the UK gvt, pay the money and leave with a clean conscience.
