Just think about getting up for those earlies though -make sure you can do something with it quickly.
I had loads of difficult to manage layers put through my hair last year.

well mine is collar length, the hairdresser won't cut it any shorter as she says i won't be able to manage it and it will stick out!

think i need a new hairdresser!

I had a moment of temporary insanity in January and had my formerly shoulder length hair cut short. I should have listened to the hairdresses when she said it would stick out. I have very thick wavy hair and now it's short it just looks like cow licks all over the back. Listen to your hairdresser when she says not to do it.

Cas, I love the second one. Very up to date and it looks easy enough to be done at home. Post your pic after so we can see how good it looks.

Dorothy, I have one word for you.......GHD

I also have think uncontrollable hair and it was long last year. Then in December, I had it cut really short at the back and thanks to my wonderful GHDs it's fiarly easy to manage. Actuallym it's easier to manage as I don't have as much hair to straighten now
