Sunshine Coast Uni has only been around for a few years (it only opened in the mid-90's) so hasn't really had a chance to get any sort of reputation.

A degree from Griffith would definitely have the edge over one from the Sunshine Coast. City universities are always preferable to 'country' equivalents which tend to be easier to get into.

no quite all true nickyc - country unis are easier to get into as there are less people in the sticks to choose from so the relaxed entry reqs are needed; usc has only been around 10 years but has pretty comparable ratings for its teaching and learning (comparable with the other qld unis), and last year had increases in recruitment whereas almost all other unis had decreases; and in terms of getting good jobs its really about your grades, and how you present to employers, and then also how you get on through the rigourous assessment centres/recruitment and selection processes.
how can i be so sure - i'm in grad recruitment and just back from sydney working with all the oz uni graduate careers managers and also over 50 of oz's (and global) top graduate employers who confirmed the above!
oh...and i work at usc and we dont do law! (yet)
hope that helps, J
