Guardian Weekly - $20 for a year

It's full of left-wing claptrap but my wife likes it.

So if you want your weekly fill of socialist mumbo jumbo, here you go:

It definitely is a bargain - for toilet paper.

Your favourite newspaper, The Telegraph, is still full price unfortunately.

The guardian is OK for me....as long as it has good financial information so I can track my investments:thumbup:

Anyone know if they actually print it here ? or does it get air-mailed from blighty? not that I feel guilty about the green factor just wondering about how fast I get to see what price Frazzles are at Asda or how long the Interest Free period is at PC World and what great value DFS Sofas are offering this week.

It doesn't have any pictures.

ps - not sure what's gone wrong with the title of this thread ?? I blame the resident moderators and their "thread merging" ways.

How did you manage to spell the Guardian that way? Other than the G, I'm not sure any letters are in the right place

You've not heard the nickname before then?

$20 for a year's worth of papers ... Might be a bargain I don't need no more stiiiiinking news, I've got a fair idea of what happens in the world, I'll live in ignorance.

Having said that, if anything happens that I should give a monkey's about (and I mean directly affects me ... incoming nuclear warhead, etc) then if a subscriber could tell me I'd be awfully grateful.

So named due to the proof-reading skills, or lack thereof.

I think I read it too, it seemed to have good music/arts coverage as I recall.

Ah, a choice of newspapers, I remember the days <stares at the Weekend Australian and The Courier Mail in disgust>.
