Gorgeous sausages... DJ's
In 6 years of living here, I've not had snags... ooops, I mean 'sausages' as English as these.
From David Jones, they're called 'London Pork Sausages'.
Slow cooked in a frying pan, they have that delicious, crispy, caramelised deliciousness in their tight, near to bursting skins.
(Waits for one of the men to say something inappropriate....)
Ohh, I said 'delicious' and 'deliciousness' in the same sentence. It's the wine's fault. Really.
Combine it with some Cumberland sauce from Fortnum and Mason (also sold at DJ's) and you have a meal akin to something my Gran would have made. Oh yes, indeedy.
Go forth and enjoy.

I have no idea where they get them from but Smash Sausage Kitchen on King St, Newtown, had Irish Pork as their Sausage of the Month last month. Oh my word. We went twice in two weeks. Their regular menu has English Pork and they are lovely, but the Irish were sublime.

Woolies have cumberland pork sausages/chipolatas for just over $5 for a pack . They aren't too bad. Look for the green packaging in amongst their range of sausages- not all stores have them though.

My wife gets a good pork sausage - from IGA.
I've generally found that anything labelled Pork or premium - maybe with a few herbs thrown in is generally far tastier than anything Beef.

Try the "British Sausage Company" offerings, available in the major supermarkets. Not bad at all.

I thought the Cumberland offering wasn't bad. Nothing like a Cumberland sausage at all, but made a decent pork sausage.

Sausage talk comes up as often as coffee talk on here, doesn't it? And is just as subjective
My old mum always said pork sausages need a bit of beef in them, and she knew her onions.

I don't want "not too bad" - I want delicious, otherwise it is a waste of calories!!!!
