good,the bad,the ugly

Moving to Perth end of July, looking to rent initially but as in UK there will be good and bad areas in Perth, which are they and why?
got a job south of river near Bibra Lake just me & oh, so looking for property commutable to work.
Been on aussiemove.com and Armadale gets a bad reputation but no reason why.
Give me your views on where you live and why you like it or loathe it.
Thanks in advance

mick

Peppy Grove, Subiaco, City Beach and Cottesloe are decent areas, as for the rest of it, you might as well pack up and move to Manchester.

There's probably 500 suburbs in Perth. You want an opinion on them all?:lol:

If you are working in Bibra Lake then Leeming / Kardinya etc should see ya right
?

It depends on lots of factors though. Those that Santa recommended are fine if you have a $1M in the bank but for mere mortals compromises have to be made.

thanks for that, dont expect to get views on every suburb, just asking why people settle where they do,what criteria they look at.

for a commute to Bibra Lake these subs may be a bit of a journey!

Plus you need shit loads of cash

Leeming is pretty good, Freo itself is not bad (PP lives in that area)

Armadale has its shit areas like all places

There are several posters here that live in Seville Grove that love it (and i am still sorry for the armadale comment)

Thornlie is an older sub but i also know people that live here and love it!

its hard to say until you get here where to live as it depends on your way of life that you leave, money, what you want etc

Rockingham is another place that i personally wouldn't live but i have some very good friends that live there that love it

hope that helps a bit....have given you a few subs to work with

but best is to wait until your here tbh

by this do you mean Rockingham itself or the whole area? We're moving to Secret Harbour which, I believe, is part of Rockingham. Would like to know anyone's thoughts and opinions......
