Default Glasgow Rangers likely to fold

Just heard that Glasgow Rangers face a Tax Bill of 75 million pounds and this is likely to send them into administration.

Apparently there are now special mesures being intorduced by the UK Government for tax paid/owed by football clubs.

Wonder what our Aus based Glasgow fans will make of this. Not much fun having no rival.

Should be like any company, if you can't manage your finances and are losing money hand over fist then bye bye.

They may be the first of many.

There are a lot of clubs who do not want their finances looking at too closely.

May bring an end to the madness that has gripped British football for a few years.

Coventry are in worse shape than Portsmouth apparently. It's of great interest and with empathy that Palace fans look and closely monitor this.

The football league has a lot to answer for.... they've stuffed up some well supported traditional clubs chasing TV rights.

I realise GR are a different situation, it's been caused by Cable TV money and the Leagues should have put in better buffers. The casual viewer is wrecking the game.

These clubs that get into these situations usually sort themselves out. Will be no different here.

I'm also willing to pay an online season ticket to watch my team via the net.... which is something Palace are pushing for. They are pretty sure that will be a success as their bulletin boards already carry well over 126,000 registered members.

I should be ditching foxtel pretty soon... which will clear my conscious in this regard... you can still watch online Just means Rupert doesn't get the dosh.

Note to self must get down of my pulpit in relation to this heartfelt subject.

They'll probably eventually end up in the English league . . . Blue Square Bet Conference North.

Is that one level above the Toblerone League, the lowest rung on the footballing pyramid? (I think I'm mixing my metaphors).
