I don't want to seem like an ass hole, but I believe that people with aids should not be allowed in Australia.
Seems pretty simple for me, if you've got a quarantine to stop viruses and risky stuff coming into the country then you should really stop HIV/AIDS coming in to the country.
You've got an example here of this guy potentially infecting say 10-100 women, who in turn may have infected 10-100 men who in turn may have infected 10-100 women.
Just seems too risky.

My friend and her HIV positive husband from Africa just immigrated here. I was very surprised that they let him in.
Immigration asked for heaps of data on what stage he was at and his doctor had to write a big report, and give a statement that he was taking his meds as prescribed. He is stage A3 and had been hospitalised 3 times with bad fever so far worse than the acrobat. It was a spouse visa so maybe that made a difference.

It's unlikely he came on a skilled visa. He probably came on a Distinguished Talent visa as most performers (actors, musicians, athletes, etc) do. http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/specialist-entry/124/

From what l read he got in under an entertainment visa and he was somehow able to advoid having an aids test done.
