Geelong advice!
 

Hello.
We are looking at moving to Oz, once we sell the bloody house!!!
We are stuck between Geelong and Adelaide, we visited Melbourne and Geelong Dec07 and really liked it. We were looking at houses in Highton.

There is so little information on Geelong that we are getting a bit worried we have picked the wrong area.

We are coming over with two children one of 6yrs one of 3yrs and we need to get the move right for them.

What are the schools like, is there lots going on, is the crime rate low........I sound so boring sorry!!!!

We would appreciate any information to help us with his decision.

It's a shame that you haven't had any responses to this as I am interested too so I thought I'd bump it up the list again.

We currently live in Eltham which is North East of Melbourne. It is very beautiful but we find the City a bit too busy for us (country folk at heart!!) hence we are looking at Geelong.

Have just got back from Adelaide and that was beautiful too - no where near as busy as Melbourne either. It's horse for courses I guess - Melbourne is an amazing place but we are just not used to the city life :(.

I was in Melbourne for a month in Crib point - just outside Hastings - it was lovely but wouldn't recommend anyone to move there!!
My pal lives in Pearcedale & that is lovely - nice countryside & good shopping - why not have a lookat there. she works in Geelong & doesnt think too much of it.
