G'Day
Bit quiet, folks?
How's life treating everyone Life is good for the Badge family. We continue to be on our way. But life is good. No serious complaints. No serious complaints at all. As you might expect. Cheers |
Re: G'Day
Hi Badge, all good here in Brisvegas, but very quiet on BE. Doing my usuak ballet mum duties, sitting at Southbank waiting for daughter to finish her performance in Queenland Ballet's Ls Sylphide. Nice warm but very humid night here.

Cheers We were both supposed to have our flu shots by now, but their release has been delayed due to a different strain making its way to our shores, so the vaccine for that has to be incorporated into the current one. Or something like that, I don't think too well when by dose is blocked. Kim, your daughter sounds very talented, and you're a great Mum. |
Re: G'Day
Greetings.
Same old, same old. Some highlights- OH's promotion and DD's uni prize. Lots of dental stuff atm, so bills racking up. BUT- I am getting a new bathroom towards the end of the year, so that's great. |

Hi Badge (and Kim and Sparkles). Scouse household is sound as a pound (I've been practicing the lingo), except for summer colds that bear a strange resemblance to winter flu.

Re: G'Day
Things are plodding along here. My girl turned 13 yesterday - where did the years go? So this weekend, thanks to Cyclone Nathan for missing us, I'm hiding in my room away from giggling teenage girls and tomorrow we go on a shopping marathon with her birthday money - oh woe!
In general terms, I'm house-hunting now for a rental property, it's time my girl and I stood on our own two feet and I let my friend have her house back to herself again. She has been totally awesome letting us stay here for the last 3 years until we were on a sound(ish) financial footing. Now that I have a permanent full-time contract, it's time to move. It's going to be a financial struggle on a low-income but, you gotta do what you gotta do! YoungSOB is settled into high school now and loving it so far! She's made a whole new group of friends and is having a whale of a time - of course, this is why I pay school fees, so she can have a great social life! I must remember to point out to her that it probably would be a good idea if she maybe perhaps thought about possibly doing some work there .... but I'm thinking that reasoning might go down like a lead balloon. |

Last child went to UNI, we live 90% in melb now, renting till we can build our own house ( comes under heritage permits ) may take years with all the red tape:sneaky:. From 2016 Will be spending about half the year ( Australian summers ) in the northern climes, 2 winters a year is a dream for me  its just my blood, I thrive in winter. Finding Melbourne HO HUM, lovely:lol: for a few years, but not long term. Now the school years are finished there is a certain freedom to be had..... Enjoy those kids badge while they are little, the teen years loom  they are grown up before you know it. |
