After more detailed observations: the old birds who the newly-arrived darkies have been dumping on, are a strange lot. They seem to have separated out into two camps - those who roost on the west side of the coop and those who roost in the East. There used to be three matriarchs. One west, two east. But the dynamics changed when the two easterns ganged up on and booted the western from her lofty perch. Now the western foul sniffily sides with the sly old eastern matriarch who now seems emboldened to do as she pleases.

'Been thinking about introducing a few roosters to sort the toxic hens out but they'd probably just shrug their shoulders and stay away. :o Alternatively, I could always make chicken satay out of the sly one....

:D

Yeah, s'pose you're right. :( The stroppy sisters are beyond redemption - especially the sly bully eastern chick who clearly has too much time on her hands now that she's stopped laying eggs.

Chop her head off and feed her to the dogs - it's all she's good for the nasty mealy mouthed chook - that'll teach her for winding all the other chooks up;)

Crikey, I just went out there to Chook Central to check on the heinous hens and the sly old one was squawking like a banshee at the other unpleasant ones. Something's really ruffled her feathers.

Wow, that's impressive. The bullies being seen off by a lone rooster. Our toxic hens deserve the same treatment :D

Funny how that one bird turns on one chicken yet when the others see her doing it they all gang up too. Don't know why cos when you watch she eventually turns on them too:sneaky:
