Good call, they are hitting LPG with a tax hike in 2011....

I heard an interesting discussion on it on ABC radio this morning as I burned my ULP on a 60k journey to work

The ABC makes for better morning listening that's for sure.

I heard on the ABC the other morning that bananas will be going down in price in November. They'll be just under $10 a kilo instead of $12.

only a little engine 1. something. Never thought of claiming tax back on fuel. I do 138k's to work - there and back. Would get a fair bit back if I did that.

I might be wrong but I don't think you can claim from home to work and back. Only work to another place of work. Besides I think you ALL must be wrong as the price of petrol is supposed to be so much cheaper here than back home, or so the rose tints keep telling me.

If I could I'd buy an Audi A2 as it does 80 miles to a gallon, problem is I've not seen any for sale here. If anyone back home has an A2 bring it with you, you won't regret it.

You cant claim getting to work or getting back. The klms you can claim are if once there you have to use your car to go from one job to another. Now thats how it was last time we asked accountant, but check of course.

R's collection of jobs right now mean hes using 3/4 tanks a week :scared: :scared: Good job hes a highly paid australian tradesman and fuel is so cheap here (splutter, choke, gag yeah right )

I've seen it over a pound too but most places are trying to put off going over. I put £ 10 of petrol into the car this week - lasted 3 days of hardly any driving :scared:

loads of garages around us have been putting up new price boards (ones that will take the value 100.0) so i guess it is just a matter of time before it hits the pound mark here.
