By the way, I have not been as happy with the effectiveness of Frontline for our dog as I used to be.
Raised this with the vet and he confirmed he had heard this from others.
We now use the Frontline (which does seem to keep ticks away) then top up with Capstar if necessary to kill fleas.
Just sayin'.

Frontline spot on I believe is a monthly treatment - some say two months but some say monthly. I am not a fan of the spot on as during a heavy infestation of fleas, they tend to gather round the rear end anyway.
If you use the frontline spray which I prefer as it can last up to 3 months in dogs if applied properly and you must not bath them within 48 hours either side of application and I do believe you can get about 4 baths/swims before you have to reapply.
The spray is more effective if applied properly - not just a quick squirt - follow the instructions. Make sure you treat your house with a decent house spray - NOT Bob Martins or any of that crap, get some Acclaim spray from your vet - get a couple of cans, do it properly and it lasts about 10 months.
